Courses Opening And More To Come

Golf courses in Massachusetts are allowed to reopen after being shuttered for six weeks because of coronavirus.

There are some restrictions in place for courses to follow if they decide to open. Golf carts are banned to promote social distancing, and the use of most practice areas are restricted.

Golfers must remain in their cars until 15 minutes before their tee time, and must immediately leave the course property when they are done playing.

In Springfield Mayor Dom Sarno says that the two city operated golf courses, Franconia and Veterans Courses will open on Sunday.

In Worcester, City Manager Ed Augustus says that with recent spikes in coronavirus numbers, he isn't yet comforable opening the city owned course in Worcester.
