State AG Warns Landlords About Virus Era Evictions

Attorney General Maura Healey is warning landlords not to try forcing tenants out during the coronavirus pandemic.

She says there's been an increase in reported attempts despite an eviction moratorium.

The only exceptions to the law are if a tenant has broken the terms of the lease or committed a crime that puts others at risk.

Healey says families have suffered significant financial hardships due to the health crisis and they need to know they won't be forced out of their homes.
