Springfield Holyoke Hold Peaceful Protests

More gatherings related to the death of George Floyd took place in the Pioneer Valley on Tuesday.

Hundreds gathered at City Hall in Springfield for a prayer vigil which featured calls for protests to be peaceful.

Springfield Police Commissioner Cheryl Clapprood said it wasn't easy for her to say it, but what happened to Floyd should result in all four Minneapolis police officers who were involved in his arrest, being put in jail.

And over a thousand protesters marched in Holyoke against racism and police brutality.

The march featured Holyoke Police Chief Manuel Febo, among other officials.

More marches are being planned.
