Springfield has recorded its 8th murder of the year. Police called to the 100 block of Oswego Street.
A police spokesman says the original call came in for a shots fired call right before 9pm.
Officials say that they found a man who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Homicide Unit is investigating.
