The Springfield Police Department is continuing to crack down on illegal fireworks in an unprecedented year for complaints about the activity.
One criminal complaint and four citations were reportedly issued Wednesday night.
The Springfield PD says its real-time analysis center assisted officers in locating individuals who light fireworks in one location and then drive to another spot to set off more.
According to the police department, there have been 14-hundred more calls in the last month about fireworks than in the same time period last year.
