The week coming up is a short week so pressure will be on the Governor to tell us whether he will move the Commonwealth into Phase Three reopening of the state's economy.
The original plan was for the state to move into a third phase on Monday July 6th.
But the Governor has always contended that the numbers on the ground will dictate what happens.
If the state does move into Phase Three, that will mean that gyms will be allowed to open along with casinos and movie theaters among other things and that sporting events could be played.
The Governor says that the Covid Crisis is still with us and is likely to be with us for some time. Governor Baker says "all you have to do is look at the data coming out of the south and the southwest." That region has been seeing spiking numbers.
There is nothing on the Governor's Monday schedule yet to indicate an announcement is contemplated then.
