Phase Three Ready For Monday Start

Phase 3 of reopening Massachusetts starts on Monday.

With guidelines and restrictions, businesses including gyms, casinos, museums and movie theaters can reopen.

Governor Charlie Baker says the state can move forward because of the downward trend of COVID-19 cases.

However, he cautions that the continued fight against the virus depends on everyone being vigilant and continuing to follow the protocols that have been a big difference in the Commonwealth.

The Governor telling reporters that there was no set time to see if the Red Sox would be able to open the gates to fans. He said that he would review the data and see what it would lead him.

Gym owners and dance studio owners were pleased with the decision as well. They both had been closed for nearly 4 full months.

At MGM Springfield officials are looking for a soft reopening on July 13th. With the new protocols, there will be fewer slot machines used, masks required and no table games like poker, roulette or craps.
