Boston Man Arrested For Braintree Shooting

Braintree Police say a 21 year old man from Boston has been arrested after a shooting inside of the South Shore Plaza in Braintree over the weekend.

The suspect is identified as 21 year old Jose Rodriguez. He is being held without the right to bail on a variety of charges pending his arraignment Monday morning.

Police say the incident began around 4:30pm on Friday afternoon. Police, for now believe it was a targeted incident rather than a random act.

According to a police report, it appears that a fight broke out between two groups of people. Officials aren't sure if they were actually known to each other.

A 15 year old girl was shot during the incident. She was not involved in anyway. Police said that her injuries were not considered to be life threatening.

More details are expected to be revealed in District Court later today when Rodriquez is arraigned.
