The City of Springfield is one step closer to having its first recreational cannabis shop.
The Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission has granted a provisional license to Six Bricks, a store proposed on Albany Street, which is one of four shops granted an operating permit from the city last year.
Six Bricks is the first Springfield dispensary to reach this stage, but it still needs a final license from the state cannabis commission.
Payton Shubrick is the owner and she says there is no specific timetable for opening.
