Cooling centers will be open this weekend in Springfield because of a predicted heat wave.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the locations of the cooling centers have changed, and the number of people who can be inside is limited to twenty-five.
The centers are at the Mason Square Library community room, the Kenefick Park fitness center, the conference room in Forest Park, the Indian Orchard Citizens Council building, the Clodo Conception Community Center, and the South End Community Center.
