Western Massachusetts Congressional candidate and Holyoke Mayor Alex Morse is weighing in on a General Electric settlement to clean up the Housatonic River in Berkshire County.
Morse, speaking in Lenox yesterday, said that the settlement reached earlier this year doesn't hold GE accountable and that many feel like this was a "best offer available" situation.
The company will be able to store materials at landfill site in Lee. Morse criticized his opponent, incumbent Richard Neal, and referred to campaign contributions he received from General Electric.
