Massachusetts Secretary of State Bill Galvin is in Springfield today to push for more participation in the U.S. Census. Galvin says not getting everyone to respond could cost the city federal funding and political representation. Census workers are expected to go door-to-door in the Mason Square neighborhood today. Mayor Domenic Sarno says census workers who visit homes will be wearing official U.S. Census Bureau identification and will wear masks.
Meantime, besides the census, Galvin is also dealing with an mail in vote campaign. And, the USPS is says voters should send in their mail-in ballots early. The United States Postal Service sent an email to Fox News that ballots should be in the mail no later than 15 days before election day. USPS said people should contact their local election officials about deadlines
