The Basketball Hall of Fame has moved its 2020 Enshrinement, that features Kobe Bryant to next year.
President John Doleva says that a decision had to be made now and there is too much up in the air to make any other decision.
So, for one year the Enshrinement will be at Mohegan Sun only May 13-15.
Meantime, the one year move of The Enshrinement has placed additional hardships on the downtown Springfield Restaurant Industry.
At Max's Tavern, General Manager John Thomas says it is another blow in the middle of the pandemic.
He says that many eateries are working hard trying to draw in every customer they can.
Doleva says that he expects the event to return in 2022.
