Chicopee Man Sentenced In Gun Case

A Pioneer Valley man is being sentenced for being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition, including a machine gun.

The U.S. Justice Department says Hector Gomez of Chicopee was sentenced to five years in prison in federal court in Springfield yesterday after he pleaded guilty to charges in February.

Law enforcement raided Gomez's home and confiscated the weaponry last year.
