Galvin Says Election Will Be Both Busy And Safe

Officials say one-point-six-million Massachusetts voters have requested absentee ballots.

Secretary of State Bill Galvin says he's hopeful that many of those who requested an absentee ballot will receive one this week.

Galvin says 200-thousand ballots have already been sent to voters.

He says this is an important week for the state election system as it deals with strain from the pandemic and the unprecedented number of absentee ballot requests.
