The Spirit of Springfield announcing that the Parade of the Big Balloons will take the this year off because of the pandemic.
Judy Matt the President of the Spirit of Springfield says that the tradition had to be cancelled this year because of safety concerns.
It is the first time since 1991 that that festivities had to be cancelled.
