Arraignment Set For Former Head Of Holyoke Soldiers Home

The state attorney general's office says former Holyoke Soldiers' Home Superintendent Bennett Walsh and chief medical officer Dr. David Clinton will be arraigned on criminal neglect charges November 5th.

The charges stem from the alleged mishandling of a coronavirus outbreak at the facility that left 76 veterans dead.

The arraignment date was announced yesterday on the same day that Cheryl Lussier Poppe, who became the interim superintendent, was named the new secretary of the Mass Department of Veterans' Services.
