A man serving time in connection to an organized crime case in Springfield is being given a COVID-related compassionate prison release.
Francesco Depergola is the last of five defendants to be released in connection to an extortion case involving a city tow company operator in 2013.
Depergola was due to be released from federal prison in Fort Dix, New Jersey next March.
A federal judge in Worcester granted the release on Wednesday.
