Five people from Hartford, Windsor and New Britain have been arrested.
Police in West Springfield say it may have been a break in a string of car breaks across the region.
Officials say they were looking for suspicious activity around the Westfield Street area Friday morning when they spotted an SUV.
Five people inside. After an investigation, they found the car they were in was stolen.
In addition there was a pocketbook that was stolen out of Ludlow. The SUV they were in was stolen out of Niantic, Connecticut.
All five, ranging in age from 17 to 20 will be arraigned in District Court.
