Commissioner: City Is Burning And We Need Help

One coronavirus death was reported for Western Massachusetts on Monday. The death toll for the region is now one-thousand-143. There were two-hundred-48 new cases reported in Western Mass to increase the pandemic total to 16-thousand-622.

In Springfield, Health and Human Services Secretary Helen Caulton Harris says "We are a house on fire and we are burning fast. We will be ashes soon unless we get relief."

The Secretary says the federal and state governments need to help. And she says that people on the streets need to as well. She says that people need to wear masks and to social distance. Otherwise things --she says will get out of hand.
