DA Announces Major Drug Bust Netting 5 Plus Guns And Cash

The local drug industry takes another major hit. Hampden County District Attorney Anthony Gulunni says five people were arrested and police confiscated 2 kilos of Fentanyl, two more kilos of cocaine, 11 firearms and about 12 thousand dollars in cash.

Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni stated, “This long running, multi-agency investigation has dismantled a prominent drug trafficking organization here in the western Massachusetts region. The large amount of narcotics seized, specifically the Fentanyl, and the dismantling of this organization, unquestionably has saved many lives. The agencies and officers involved should be commended for operating a very successful and intricate investigation that targeted the trafficking of Fentanyl, an extraordinarily potent drug that has killed thousands across Massachusetts just over the past few years."

The DA says it all started with a traffic stop in which 29 year old Julian Delgado was arrested after possessing 1 kilogram of cocaine. A search of his home yielded another kilogram.

Police also arresting Maramaisy Gil and Junior Degracia on drug trafficking charges.

And, 45 year old John Feliciano and 46 year old Jose Antonio Diaz were arrested on a variety of drug charges as well.

All are being arraigned in district court. Arraignment information has not been released yet.
