The state is reporting another 78 deaths from coronavirus in Massachusetts. Officials also confirmed almost four thousand new cases of the virus yesterday, bringing the pandemic total to over 458 thousand. The number of virus related deaths is well over 13 thousand in the state since last spring. There are currently over 22 hundred people in Massachusetts hospitals with virus related complications.
Meantime, a man in his 20's in Worcester County is the second person in the state to contract the UK variant of the Covid19 virus.
There are also two cases in Connecticut.
Meantime, officials say that they expect the current vaccine to work in the new strain.
