Governor Wants Change For Climate Bill

Governor Charlie Baker has sent a wide-ranging climate change bill back to the legislature with proposed amendments.

Lawmakers passed nearly the same bill in December and it was vetoed by Baker, as it was at the end of the legislative session.

This time, Baker has suggested changes to the bill, and legislative leaders say they are open to some of his ideas.

The bill seeks to make large reductions in the state's carbon emissions by 2050.

Lawmakers say the bill that has been sent twice to the Governor is a good one and should be signed.
