Springfield Makes Change At Mass Vaccination Site

Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno says the National Guard is being deployed to assist with the mass COVID-19 vaccination site at the Eastfield Mall.

This comes after reports indicated hundreds of people waited in long lines in the cold for a shot earlier this week.

Among the other changes that are being made,

Sarno also says senior citizens will be allowed to wait inside, and more workforce will be added to cut down wait times.

A spokesman for the Governor says the National Guard will remain on site assisting with vaccinations for three weeks.
