Massachusetts Schools To Teach In Person In April

The state is requiring all middle schools to be fully reopened for in person classes by April 28th. State Education Commissioner Jeff Riley was recently given the authority to determine when remote and hybrid learning will not count towards learning hours.

It was previously announced that kindergarten through the fifth grades must return to full in person learning in the state by April fifth.

Meantime, the number of coronavirus vaccine shots administered in Massachusetts rose by more than 85 thousand yesterday. The total is a big increase from Monday, when just 25 thousand vaccinations were reported by the state. Over two million shots have been administered in total on the state, including 731 thousand second shots of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.

Over 27 thousand others are also fully covered after receiving the single dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine.
