Eleven people are due in a in Massachusetts court today after a weekend standoff. Armed militia members were traveling in a van and a pickup truck when they stopped on a highway. A state trooper noticed the weapons and called for backup. But most of the group allegedly ran into the woods and later surrendered. The suspects are from Rhode Island and New York. They all face weapons charges.
Meantime, Jamhal Tavon Sanders Latimer's father speaking with reporters says that the group has not been formed to do harm. He says they were headed to Maine, although he doesn't say what they were training for.
The 11, from New York State, Rhode Island and Michigan will be arraigned on weapons charges later today.
