Ten Massachusetts firefighters are headed to Louisiana today to help first responders there dealing with the massive destruction caused by Hurricane Ida.
Meanwhile, the Massachusetts Task Force One search and rescue team is headed home after deployment to Louisiana in the aftermath of the hurricane.
Additionally, American Red Cross volunteers from the Commonwealth are in New Jersey where the remnants of Ida cause catastrophic flooding.
President Biden has been touring some of the destruction and is making massive federal dollars available through various programs.
