Stewart Weldon To Serve Three Consecutive Life Terms

An accused Springfield serial killer is facing life in prison.

Stewart Weldon pleaded guilty in Hampshire Superior Court on Tuesday to dozens of charges related to the 2018 discovery of the remains of three women in his Page Boulevard home.

Weldon was trying to elude police when his vehicle was stopped by police. His then girlfriend who was in the car with him then told police that she was there against her will. That in turn led to a series of events that eventually saw the discovery of the three bodies.

The plea was made in advance of a scheduled trial.

Weldon will formally be sentenced on Thursday.
