Just in time for colder weather comes word from Eversource- that it has filed with Massachusetts Regulators a proposed 20 percent increase in Natural Gas Rates.
State Representative Carlos Gonzalez with our media partner Western Mass News last night says he is less than thrilled with the decision.
He wants the state to vigorously fight the price hike.
No timetable for a decision yet.
Meantime, we are expecting to hear from the Attorney General Maura Healey who has historically opposed such dramatic increases in rates.
She could speak on the issue later today.
