Nick Folk booted a game-winning 21-yard field goal with 15 seconds remaining as the Patriots beat the Texans 25-22 in Houston.
Folk was a perfect 4-for-4 on his field goal attempts, while rookie Mac Jones threw for 231 yards, a touchdown and an interception.
He connected in the end zone with Hunter Henry, who finished with 75 yards on six receptions.
Linebacker Matt Judon had two sacks as New England improved to 2-and-3.
The Patriots will play the Cowboys next.
It is the 4:25pm game at Foxboro.
