Some residents are banding together to stop a pipeline project--first proposed by Columbia Gas and now being continued by Eversource.
The Springfield City Council had a sit down with both sides of the issue.
Michelle Marantz, a Longmeadow woman who is leading the fight against the project says that its a bad deal for the environment and for customers of the utility that will have to come up with the 22 to 32 million dollars for the project.
No final decisions from the city council yet..
