State Rep Wants Monies Utility Owes

Springfield State Rep Orlando Ramos says he is working on a bill that he will file that will force

Eversource to pay all of its property taxes. In Springfield, officials say they are owed some 44 million dollars.

The company is disputing what they say is a flawed system.

Ramos says if they don't want to pay what is owed- they shouldn't be able to continue to raise rates.

Ramos says if the company does not want to pay what it owes to the city, then they shouldn't be raising its rates either.
