Cara Rintala, tried three times for the murder of her same sex wife back in 2010—has been granted bail as she awaits her fourth trial on the same charge.
A Hampshire County Superior Court judge will allow Rintala bail.
She will now live with her elderly parents and young daughter in Rhode Island.Rintala’s first two trials ended in hung juries while the third resulted in her conviction.
But the State Supreme Court threw out the conviction because the judge – they said allowed an improper expert witness to testify.
Meantime, prosecutors say there are no plans to drop any of the charges.
