Massachusetts Public Health officials have confirmed the first case of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus.
Little is known about the victim in the case other than it is a woman in her 20’s -- from Middlesex county, who recently traveled out of state.
She had been fully vaccinated against the virus.
Doctors say the woman is experiencing mild symptoms and does not require hospitalization.
While confirming the case, doctors also say that all three Covid19 vaccines in use in the country have been shown to highly protect people.
