More Help For High Heating Oil Bills

Just in time for the brutal winter cold, a new report from the White House says that state is getting more than double the amount of home energy assistance than it did in 2021. A lot of that has to do with monies coming from the American Rescue Plan. Congressman Richard Neal- who is Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee says the number is almost 308 million dollars for Massachusetts families.

“As the temperatures plummet and the New England cold sets in, Massachusetts families will be able to afford energy costs and stay warm, safe, and healthy this winter thanks to the American Rescue Plan,” said Congressman Neal. “Many individuals and families are still recovering from the pandemic. This investment will ensure that they do not have to choose between putting food on the table or paying for heat.”
