State House Reopens To Public For First Time In 2 Years

The Massachusetts State House reopens to the public today for the first time in nearly two years.

All visitors will be required to wear masks and to show either proof of vaccination for coronavirus or a negative test within 24-hours.

The requirement for vaccination proof differs from the rest of the city and its venues. That protocol was lifted by the city of Boston Monday but will still be required at the State House.

Legislative leaders plan to review public health data on a regular basis and make changes to the policy if needed.

The State House has been closed to the public since the beginning of the pandemic.
