In a week where we saw temperatures hit the mid sixties--now we deal with colder temps and snow.
We are expecting somewhere in the neighborhood of between 4 and 8 inches of snow to fall over the region. Most of the snow is expected to impact the morning rush hour---between now and 9AM this morning.
Officials at the National Weather Service say that more snow will be seen in the higher elevations and the northern parts of the state.
A lot of the despair over snow totals centers around whether there will be--and when we will see a change over to sleet. That will likely lower snow totals but make things a bit more slippery to deal with.
Governor Baker has told all non-emergency state workers to work from home if they can.
The Court system in the state is closed as well.
Parking bans are in place now throughout many communities in the region. Police throughout the state are asking you to abide by those parking bans. They can tag and tow cars that are blocking the snow removal operation. And it is a pretty hefty price tag when you figure in the ticket, the tow and storage costs as well.
