School Bus Masking Ends In Mass

The state is no longer requiring children to wear masks on school buses in Massachusetts. The state Department of Public Health says masks will not be needed on buses for kids in kindergarten through the 12th grade. Children in child care programs also do not have to wear masks on the bus anymore.

Local districts can now make the determination.

Mask mandates are continuing to be lifted in Western Massachusetts, but some others are remaining in place. The Holyoke Board of Health has voted to end its city-wide indoor face-covering mandate except for public schools.

The health boards in South Hadley and Granby have voted to drop masking requirements, which does include schools.

In North Adams however, the Mask Mandate has been extended for two weeks there.
