The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame is announcing its Class of 2022 inductees.
Headlining the new arrivals into the Hall of Fame are San Antonio Spurs legend Manu Ginobili and three-time WNBA champion Swin Cash. The former WNBA forward says she has so many people to thank for her success on the court.
The two are joined by Tim Hardaway, Lindsay Whalen and Lou Hudson. Coaches Bob Huggins, George Karl and Marianne Stanley were also inducted alongside longtime NBA official Hugh Evans. Rounding out the class were Larry Costello, Del Harris, Theresa Shank-Grentz and Radivoj Korac.
“Year after year, we are constantly reminded of the extraordinary and transcendent efforts of the remarkable men and women who have impacted the game of basketball from a global perspective,” said John L. Doleva, President and CEO of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. “The Class of 2022 is ripe with individuals who have had a significant historical impact on the game we love. We congratulate and thank them for everything they’ve done to better the sport and look forward to honoring them during Enshrinement this fall.”
The 13-member class will be enshrined in Springfield, Massachusetts on September 10th.
