McGovern: "We Saw Evil Of War -Good Of People Fighting Against It"

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says "America stands with Ukraine" after a surprise meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv. During a news conference yesterday in Poland, Pelosi said the purpose of the trip was to send a clear message to the world. The Speaker's office announced Sunday that Pelosi and several other members of Congress met with the Ukrainian president to discuss sanctions on Russia and additional U.S. support for Ukraine.

Among the Massachusetts Congressmen on the trip Jim McGovern and William Keating.

McGovern stressed the continued need for humanitarian support for the people in Ukraine. McGovern says the war has many far reaching issues---including the effort on the world war food supply---Russia and Ukraine account for a lot of the wheat products in the world.

The Congressman says the deliberate targeting of the food supply by Russia has led to an explosion of hunger across the globe.

McGovern says he saw first hand the tremendous evil of the Putin war. And,the tremendous good of the people working against it.
