Massachusetts Monkeypox Case Has Tie To Canada

Health officials in Quebec are linking the monkeypox case identified in a Massachusetts man to a cluster of cases in Canada.

There are two confirmed cases in the province, with 20 suspected cases being investigated.

In the U.S., there is just a single infection in a man who recently traveled to Canada.

He's being treated at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Meantime, Governor Baker says he and the administration is monitoring the latest medical issue to strike.

He says that the monkeypox "is a variant of small pox."

So people are protected if they have been vaccinated for small pox.
