Many Massachusetts residents will be receiving a tax rebate in the near future.
Leaders of the state House and Senate have announced plans for the 250-dollar rebate check for people earning a minimum of 38-thousand-dollars a year.
The rebate is capped at 100-thousand-dollars in earnings for individual filers and 150-thousand-dollars for joint filers.
Some residents like the idea. Of those who say they don't they say that the money won't go as far as lawmakers think it will.
Republican lawmakers have suggested a far reaching tax cut would go further.
The measure must be approved by the end of July in order for it to be paid to residents by September.
