Heat Wave Could Extend A Week- Cooling Centers To Open In Springfield

Massachusetts and Connecticut could be getting its first heat wave of the summer this week.

The people in the Weather Center for us this morning are forecasting high temperatures in the 90s for the Springfield area every day until next Monday.

The weather service says there will be an increased risk of heat exhaustion for people who are outdoors.

Meantime, Springfield Mayor Dom Sarno is opening Cooling Centers throughout the city,
