Mask-wearing is still a part of life for some colleges in the Knowledge Corridor going into the 2022-2023 academic year.
Masking will be optional at most indoor places on the UMass Amherst campus.
However, the private colleges Smith, Mount Holyoke, Hampshire and Amherst are all requiring faces to be covered in buildings at least for a portion of September.
While there is still some concern about Covid, a lot of students say they will not let the remaining existence of the virus or for that matter the newer Monkeypox virus to soley define what that can and cannot not do.
