Baker, New England Governors Unite For More Heating Oil Aid

Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker is urging emergency supplemental federal funding for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program.

Baker, and the governors of the other New England states cite the likelihood of higher bills during the coming winter due to the volatility of global energy markets.

They say that more than any other region, New Englanders depend on expensive delivered fuels, and that the LIHEAP program is critically important.

So far there has been no response from The White House.
