The new president of American International College was formally sworn-in on Thursday.
Hubert Benitez, the twelfth president in the college's history, has been on the job since April.
Congressman Richard Neal, who graduated from AIC in 1972, and Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno were in attendance.
Benitez said among his goals will be to increase access to education.
