Thunderbirds Explode For Five In Second Period To Beat Hartford

The Springfield Thunderbirds continue to play well. They rattled off five unanswered goals in the second period on route to a 7 to 4 win over the Hartford Wolfpack at the Mass Mutual Center before nearly 65 hundred fans.

The Wolfpack led 2-0 going into the second period before the Thunderbirds offense kicked into high gear making a 2-0 deficit into a 5-3 lead. Springfield would score twice more in the third period to wrap up the win.

Springfield outshot Harford 35-25 in the game.

The Thunderbirds are off today and will remain at home for a Friday night game against Bridgeport.
