1550 Main Street Sold For Six Million Dollars

A downtown Springfield building has been sold. MassDevelopment, the state's economic development finance agency and land bank, announced the sale of 1550 Main Street on Wednesday to Tower Square Partners, which owns the namesake Springfield shopping mall.

The purchase was for six-million dollars.

The property is 98-percent occupied with tenants including the Springfield School Department, Baystate Health, and the offices of Senators Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey.

The Building, which was originally built in the 1980's was the original Springfield Federal Court Building.
