In Northampton, there is a debate over whether the city should cap the number of pot shops in town.
The move comes in the aftermath of the closing of a pot shop in town--the first in the state.
Mayor Gina-Louise Sciarra says capping pot shops would not be the way to go.
She contends if the cap were put in place- the small, mom and pop stores would be pushed out by the big, multi state companies.
Now the city council is going to get the issue.
But it is unclear whether that vote will come this week.
