In South Deerfield- word from the parent company Newell Brands, that they are cutting about 13 percent of its global workforce and that means it will close its corporate office there.
Employees will be reassigned in some cases.
Officials say that the move will save them between 220 and 250 million dollars a year.
The announcement does not have any affect the distribution or manufacturing of the candles or its home scent research and development.
Officials say that the move should be complete sometime in the first quarter of this year.
The announcement comes on the heels of an industry report that shows the entire global candle industry will be worth more than 20 billion dollars by 2030.
